Wedding Cake Tasting and Design Sessions in London
A wedding cake tasting session and design session, in my opinion, is one of the most exciting parts about planning your wedding. When else in life will you have the opportunity to taste some delicious cake samples and decide which you’d like to offer to your guests on your big day? Unless you’re a wedding planner maybe? Or a party planner? Or a cake maker!
Why have a wedding cake tasting and design session?
So firstly, why have a cake tasting? Why not just choose a cake and be done with it? Well, firstly because the opportunity is there! Take it. But of course, it’s a great opportunity to meet with a potential wedding supplier and get to know how they work, as well as how the cake will taste. I think it’s so important to hire wedding suppliers for your big day that ‘get you’. That share your values and that understand your vision for what you want from your wedding. This is, of course, something you just can’t really get over the phone or in an email.
My cake tastings are also cake design consultations, where we can look through your ideas, inspiration and vision for your wedding cake and I can get a real idea on what you want and what you don’t. I will sketch out a rough idea to make sure we are on the same page and then, following our meeting, I’ll go off to produce a digital sketch of your wedding cake design idea.
Oh great! Do we get free cake at our wedding cake tasting and design session?
Free cake did you say? I’m afraid, not free. The best quality cakes certainly don’t come for free as a lot of prep work goes into the cake samples I provide and digital sketches I create. The cost for my tasting and design sessions is £50 which is now deductible from the final amount of the wedding cake if you choose to go ahead and book me as your cake designer. This cost includes your choice of four cake samples from my cake menu and your wedding cake digital sketch idea tweaked until you’re happy with it and ready to book.
